Weik.io Cloud
SFTP servers
An SFTP server in Weik.io Cloud receives files from your partners and systems in Helsinki, with a user and a folder for each partner, and a transfer in your Weik.io picks the files up.
What you get
Every SFTP server has:
- An address at
<name>.sftp.weikio.cloudon port 22, or a hostname of your own - Users who sign in with a password or an SSH key
- A folder for each user, so partners see only their own files
- Allowed address ranges for each user
- Storage in Helsinki, from 100 GB to 2 TB
- A log of every upload and download with the time, the user, the file and its size
- A remote that is ready in your workspace for transfers
Sizes and prices
| Size | Storage and users | Price |
|---|---|---|
| S | 100 GB storage, 10 users | €29 a month |
| M | 500 GB storage, 50 users | €79 a month |
| L | 2 TB storage, 200 users | €199 a month |
You move a server to a larger size in the console, and the address and the users stay. Prices are monthly, in euros and excluding VAT.
How it connects to Weik.io
When you create the server, Weik.io Cloud adds an SFTP remote for it to the workspace you choose. A transfer in the workspace uses the remote as its source and moves the new files on its schedule.
After each run, the transfer publishes a run summary that lists the files, and your other integrations read it as an event.
You can run the transfer below in a Weik.io you install yourself, which is open source under the Apache License 2.0.
apiVersion: weik.io/v1
kind: mft
metadata: { name: partner-invoices, project: finance }
spec:
schedule: "0 0/15 * * * ?"
source: { remote: partner-sftp, path: /partner-x }
destination: { remote: invoice-archive, path: invoices/incoming }
operation: move
filters: ["*.pdf"]The transfer moves the PDF files your partner uploads to the folder /partner-x into your invoice archive every 15 minutes. Your first transfer in the docs writes and deploys a transfer, and To production moves it to production.

Questions
Can partners sign in with SSH keys?
Yes, each user signs in with an SSH key or a password, and you can give one partner several keys.
Can I limit where uploads come from?
Yes, with allowed address ranges for each user. A sign-in from any other address is refused and logged.
Can a self-hosted Weik.io read the server?
Yes, a transfer in your own installation picks the files up through an SFTP remote with the server's address and a user of its own.
Do I need a workspace for an SFTP server?
No, a workspace is optional. The server works on its own for any system with an SFTP client.
Create an SFTP server
The console creates the server with its first user and shows the address to send to your partner.
